Adding a New Breed

1. To add a new breed, go to Administration>Patients>Breeds>Breeds
2. Add in the new breed, making sure that the system tick box is ticked and click 'Save'. Press F5 to refresh Merlin.
   
3. This breed now needs linking to the correct species. To do this go to Administration>Patients>Breeds>Breeds by Species
4. In the 'Breed' by Species' screen Filter the 'Species' you want to assign it to. Next either search or use the drop down arrow to find the breed you are wanting to link in the blank white field at the top of the breed list. Once you start typing, suggestions will display.

5. Once added, click 'Save'.

Note - This change can take up to 24 hours to take effect in the Patient Details screen.
